I need some help with this question:
Predict the sign of delta H and delta S and how those affect the magnitude of K.
2 Mg(s) + O_2_(s) yields 2MgO(s)
a) K>0 and increasing with increasing T
b) K<0 and decreasing with increasing T
c) K>0 and decreasing with increasing T
d) K<0 and increasing with increasing T
The answer is C. and i dont understand why because I was thinking the reaction is nonspontaneous (-delta S) so delta G is (+), and I thought if delta G was positive K is small (K<0). I know the equation G=H-TS has something to do with it but I have not idea why this answer is C. Please Help!!!!!
