I got a question on a dental anatomy test that asks which of the following has central pit?
with four answer choices as all the premolars.
Obviously the best choice is mandibular second premolar (because of 3 cusp type) which was choice D. But before the test I could've sworn that I read somewhere or saw some kind of picture of maxillary 1st having a central pit. So I jumped on the choice A (the first one) which was the 1st maxillary premolar. Is there "never" a central pit in maxillary 1st premolar ever? Shouldn't the test have said which of the following is most likely to have a central pit (which is a board question I saw somewhere and I know the right answer is mandibular 2nd premolar)?
P.S. If you know any text, article, or picture that supports it, if you would let me know that would be even nicer!
