Anyone who knows of Med and Dent schools in the same city feel free to post! I am applying to dent school next year, and my girlfriend is applying to med school. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Many of the schools with dental schools also have medical schools.

Philadelphia and NYC both have many medical schools and each have 2 dental schools too.

Yeah you should probably make your, the dental school, list then use those schools to find med schools and voila. Make a list.

I would think that nearly all dental school's have a med school on the campus or at a nearby college.

i did this same thing but with dental and pharmacy schools (my boyfriend is applying to pharm.) but we realized it's best to get into a professional school even if it isn't in the same city. Anyways to answer your question- I know Kentucky has both a medical and dental school in Lexington 🙂

my boyfriend overlapped with penn, ucsf, UCLA,columbia nyu (NY obviously). there are actually a lot a lot...chances are if it has a dental, it will have a med school (but usually not the other way around since there are waaay fewer dental schools).

shame he has chosen a school w/o a dental school....but it happens sometimes so gotta prepare for that :xf:

Chicago has 2 med schools (Rush & UIC) , dental (UIC), and pharmacy (UIC) not only in the same city, but on the same campus!

Indiana (@ the Indy campus, IUPUI). And they are right across the street from each other!

UTHSC-San Antonio...the dental, medical, and nursing school buildings are all connected.

UTAH... one in salt lake city (Med) and one in South Jordan (Dental). They are both about 20 mins away from one another.

^ What's up with all the Caribbean med school advertising?

Phili, NYC, Boston, UMDNJ, LA, San Francisco.. I am sure there are many. You can easily find this out by buying an adea book and aamc book.

PITT. They are right across the street and share a cafeteria. Holla

UNC! Med/dent school buildings are connected (and ECU but you have to be NC resident to apply to ECU)

Quite numerous...as others have mentioned.

Even better if you both of you can go to a university that has both:

UPenn, Columbia, Harvard, BU, UCLA; UCSF; U of WASH;

Temple; Tufts; Indiana; Minnesota; UMKC/KU (across each other but different Univ); Univ of OK; CO; USC; Creighton; Univ of Neb; Univ Oregon Hlth Sci.

UFl; Georgia HSci;Ohio State; Univ of MD; NJ; Kentucky; Louisville

and few others I cant recall.

Good luck.

99.9999% of all dental schools have at least one medical school located in the same city. Kind of a silly question lol.

I'll just make this really easy. Every single city with a dental school also has a medical school with no exceptions.

Not quite true, UNMC's dental school is in Lincoln while it's medical school is in Omaha.

Richmond! both VCUs medical and dental school are practically attached to each other.

Good job, you found the ONE exception.

There is another one but farther apart. Tx A & M (med) and Tx A & M aka Baylor (dental) are 150 miles apart.

In short, there are scores of schools that have both fields at the same location.

Not quite correct. Baylor college of dentistry is in Dallas. UT-Southwestern the medical school is also in Dallas. They're obviously not affiliated with each other but OP is just searching for dental and medical schools in the same city.

But it's going to take a lot of luck getting into Baylor and him getting into Southwestern if you wanted to go down that route...

University of Iowa - it's a pretty amazing dental school and probably an even better medical school. Plus cost of living is ridiculously cheap 🙂
