Dental College of Georgia (DCG) Class of 2029 Interview/Acceptance Thread

Great stats. Just curious what did you do your post bacc in and how long was it?
I did the pre-med/pre-health program at Agnes Scott College. It was a year (3 semesters, summer, fall, spring) for all the pre-requisites (bio and lab 1/2, gen chem and lab 1/2, orgo and lab 1/2, phyics and lab 1/2, biochem). I took it both as a GPA booster but also my degrees like 8 years old so many school told me to retake the classes.

Does anyone know if DCG has specific cutoff requirements for the last sections RC and QR? I know on the website it says the cutoffs are 16 Academic Average, 16 PAT and 16 Total Science

i believe they want you to have a minimum of 16 in all subjects for the DAT.

The cutoff for all sections is 16

Anyone received or know of anyone who received an interview this week? Trying to see how far out they are now.

Congrats! When did you receive the "your application is complete" email from DCG?

The other option that was available was September 15th and 16th

ughhh i got an email saying my app was complete august 1st and i haven’t heard a peep.
I know it can seem discouraging at times but even if people who submitted after you get an interview before you doesn't mean you won't get an interview. Last year I submitted earlier than some people but got an interview after people who submitted later, so hang in there!

Also, I am a reapplicant so I believe that’s one reason why I got an interview soon after my application was completed for DCG! Last year I received my interview mid October and submitted mid July. There’s still time and the cycle just started
Yeah I agree, that's definitely a factor.

okay great thank you so much! and congratulations! you got this!

I believe this will be their 4th interview date they’ve sent out. This upcoming Monday is Labor Day so I doubt there will be an interview next week

Yeah I was thinking they weren't going to have one next week because I think the students are off as well.

It's mixed based on my group I interviewed with and the second group. But the groups are majority new applicants.

for reapplicants, what were the interviews like at dcg? what did you do differently this time around?

Does anyone know how many are in each group that they interview?

I don't know if these are out or not, but these are the stats for the class of 2028! (Students that got accepted last year and are in their first year of Dental school at DCG)

Congratulations! By interview #2, do you mean you’ve already had an interview and going again?

Augusta just got hit really hard by Hurricane Helene. The city won't have power until ~October 5th, and school was already cancelled until the 7th. If you are a resident of Augusta stay safe.
My interview was rescheduled from tomorrow to October 14th. Hopefully everyone is safe and they can clean up everything quickly.
