That's what I think too because I know someone who interviewed after me in Oct got accepted today.

I don't think it's ordered like that because a much later applicant got an acceptance call before me and I was in the first group that interviewed.

Well wouldn't they just hold the few seats for the last group they want to accept pre dents from since they need a little bit more time to evaluate them instead of still accepting people from previous groups?

most schools do it like this:
for each interview group, there are some obvious "accepts" and some obvious "rejects"
the majority of them are in the middle
at the end, they take all the "accepts" and throw out all the "rejects"
then they evaluate all the middle people and pick enough to get to the number they want to accept on decision day
some schools accept the full class amount on DD, some accept fewer than the full amount, and a small amount will actually accept more than the full class amount knowing there will be drop outs...

I have a question, I haven't received a call yesterday do they still call the rest of the people today? If not, how does the waitlist work, and what are the chances in getting in? I have a 4.0 gpa and a 22 DAT.

the accepted/matriculated stats are in the first post of every school thread
this will give you an idea of how many people turn down spots

waitlists vary from school to school, some schools wait until after the first deposit is due (30 days from friday), some will release spots gradually as they open
some waitlists are ranked, some are not, some schools will tell you where you are ranked on the list, the vast majority will not

your grades/dat matter less now than they did before
class demographics start to play a bigger role...

i’m still waiting lol for the rejection since i didn’t get an interview from them. 😂😂

my first rejection 😭, not surprised since I submitted my app on the last possible day. They said it so nicely tho so I'm not even mad lol, the OOS tuition would've made me cry anyway

I got waitlisted as well but I'd like to believe it's not about ethnicity or sexuality. They have pretty diverse cohorts and have a lot of systems in place to support and foster diversity.

Edit: Also totally not trying to invalidate what you're feeling, I understand.

Define countless? Post your demographics? Also, write your congressmen or senator, submit some factual based information on your claims.. otherwise I wouldn’t just throwing out speculative statements like this. There’s a cut line, Ask for factual based feedback from the school.

I spoke with the admissions office today. Unfortunately, the waitlist is pretty long, but on a positive note, there has been some movement. It's not over until it truly is, and if it's meant to be, it will be :luck:

Looking at the waitlist movement threads on Reddit, someone said they got off the waitlist at DCG recently. The admissions office also told me that there had been movement directly.

You never know!! It's not over until it is. My student ambassador said her class had a good amount of people that got off the waitlist.

You're right, im just trying to tame my expectations. Hopefully people post their datapoints here though.
 
I plan to decline my seat here this week. Such a hard decision since this school's climate is wonderful and the faculty are great. I wish you all the best on the WL to get a seat soon.
