dental hygienist prerequisites

hi everybody,
i have a bachelors degree as a dentist in india.,i would like to pursue a career as a dental hygeinist in USA.,in california.
so are my international transcripts accepted here..and do i get any advantage for admission as i have already studied more of dentistry than required for a hygienist.
is there any possibility that i can do any bridge course rather than the long 2 yr course,,and write my licensing exams and start off to work.

Why not apply to US Dental Schools as an international student. Since you are already an established Dentist in another country, I think a lot of schools here have special programs you can enroll in, in order to practice here. If I'm not mistaken it is not the entire 4yrs? Why not contact a few private schools.....especially in the area you are desiring to practice in, and see if they can lead you in the right direction.
