Hello,

I am a predental student and I am thinking about writing a paper about a specific topic in related to dental physiology. I'd like to write about something that isn't too general (dental caries, fluoridation, etc.) but I also don't want to dig too hard for information in journal articles, etc. Could anybody recommend a good topic? I need to write about 12 pages.

I would suggest Hydrodynamic theory. It's well researched and documented. Plus, it's not too specific, but it's definitely not broad.

It may be a little broad but it is as the core of so much of what we learn in dentistry - TMJ its normal functions and its pathologies. If you learn all about this now you will save yourself some time in the future

Osseointegration of dental implants...I remember writing about it in undergrad so its definitely possible.

kind of odd that there are not any papers out that actually tell you what the "fluid" in the dentinal tubule consists of but the hydrodynamic theory is still the most widely accepted explination for pain/sensitivity/etc.

just something to think about... 😀
