I received my first interview for September 14th and I was looking online and found a cool looking website called iprepdental, has anyone tried their service?

Hey, I just posted before that I registered this morning for Aug 29...I was told about this website from another user that highly recommended...they now have $15 off so I took advantage 🙂 ill keep u guys posted!

Never heard of them and they are too expensive😱

I am really thinking about trying it out, I am kind of nervous about the whole interview. I have had friends who went to the interview and did not feel comfortable at all.

There are a lot of free resources out there, you don't have to pay $250 for. Use SDN interview feedback, schedule a free mock interview with your school career center, friends and family, maybe borrow a book about interviews from the library. Just be yourself and you'll be fine unless you can afford the $250 which I think is an unnecessary expense to add to the application process.

Iv spent so much money and time so far...why to start saving for the interview...ill pay whatever it takes to get in 🙂

I actually saw packages for under $100, I am not sure why you said $250? Thanks for the advice though

I think the link is great to prepare me for what questions will be asked, but it does not tell me if my answers are good enough to get into their school, when I read the info on iprepdental it sounded like I would get feedback from someone who had successfully gone through the process.

I think that saying in ur interviews answers from SDN is not the right way to go...they probably heard these same answers over and over again....in my opinion the interview is the last chance to stand out...all students who have been invited for the interview are qualified...now how u stand out is all that matters...

I'm a little bit suspicious of new users raving about some paid website. 😳and if you have the money for it, go ahead and pay. Many people on this website have found the interview feedback very useful and I would rather use that than pay for a website that only people who registered this month are saying positive things.

x2

I read the first few lines... I looked at their post count... I stopped reading. 😎

LMFAO WTF ..WHO WOULD PAY FOR THIS? it doesnt even create the same environment as a real interview...its over SKYPE....and freakin 100 bucks for a 30 min mock interview and 30 min "assessment"?...wth........unless you're totally socially AWKWARD and have no clue how to talk with a human you don't need to pay for this

Waste of money. Sounds like a money hungry website. Don't pay for it. Get someone you know or school to give you a free mock interview. You can even give yourself a mock interview by video recording yourself answering random questions (I've done this, and you'd be surprise what you learn) 🙂

but i wish i would have thought of this genius business myself first.........i could just get someone to dress in a suit and ask common questions over skype to people who believe in the "proven methods" and laugh all the way to the bank...

I have no idea if this service is good or not but I already registered and I can share my feedback with you guys after my mock interview...btw I had to submit my personal statement DAT score and GPA so I guess their questions would be relevant...I also had a tutor for the DAT when all my friends told me that its a waste of money..I suggest each of us would do what he/she thinks is best...and no, I dont have any speaking disorder or problem im just not embarrassed to receive help...I was just referred to this website from someone else who recommended it but at this point I have no opinion about it...I will share my experience next week.....

I wasn't suggesting everyone use the same answers. I am saying to use SDN (which is free...) to see which questions are most common. Then prepare answers for them.

I agree that SDN is a great resource for questions...my point is the answers...of course everyone think that they came up with the best answer...its hard to evaluate yourself...when u prepare on ur own u dont notice how you sit in the interview...ur body language etc...u dont know how ur answers sounds to someone else...I do think that its important to practice with someone to receive this type of critique..and prob not a school adviser that knows nothing about dentistry or dental school...as I said before each one of us can use whatever resources he/she finds right...we all studied in different ways for the DAT (using different resources) and im assuming we all will use different ways to prepare for the interviews...regardless good luck to everyone!

I somehow got a facebook friend request from them today. Makes me think the OP is advertising.

What's everyone's take on taking notes? Some people have told me to bring one of the padfolio things or a notebook and others have told me not to bother. I'm thinking it might be unnecessary, but just wanted to get other opinions! Thanks!

Incessantly taking notes would make me think that you have a memory span of a goldfish...

As long as you remember the day and the tour, you should have some questions to ask and having questions to ask will imply that you were paying attention.

If anything, bring a very small note pad and write something down once in awhile. No need to record the entire day because it just makes you look nerdy and desperate in a bad way... Besides, if you're focused on note taking the whole day, when will you get to socialize with the other applicants?!

Hahaha love it. Yeah I was pretty weary of bringing one in the first place... I just don't think it's the right setting for that (except for during the financial aid presentation, I guess). My memory will serve me just fine though! Thanks for the input 🙂
