Some d-schools are different especially those with an interprofessional curriculum like at WesternU or Columbia.

Depends on the school. I think a couple of schools don't use any. We used some early in the year. They were still in use by med student. We were there to check out the arm, really. The last 5 weeks of school for head & neck, we had fresh bodies and did the whole head and neck dissection, the bone saw was especially awesome and gnarly.

I've been told by a student at UTHSCSA they used the whole body. Not sure about other schools.

A dentist I shadowed still has the skull from the body that he used sitting on his desk at work and put a hat on it and everything. lol. He said that there is a cadaver shortage now though and that many schools use simulation robots.
