I am a re-applicant and I am putting my letters in Interfolio so I do not have to deal with begging my teachers if I need the letters in the future. However, the two dentist who I have shadowed do not seem to be able to grasp the concept that AADSAS does not store the letter of recommendations and they do not carry over from one cycle to the next and when I asked them to re-upload the letter for me they basically said I already did that last year for you so I do not feel I should have to do it again.

So what the heck am I suppose to do to be able to satisfy the letter of recommendation requirement from a dentist I have worked with? I am already studying 10 hours a day for the DAT and getting ready to finish up my classes so I do not have time to shadow a new dentist. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the dentist letter of rec fulfilled?

You or they don't have a copy saved up on the computer? If they don't want to do it and you can't charm them, go shadow at other places and get more letters. But this time, ask them to send you a copy as well to your email so you have a copy in hand if you don't happen to get in this year.

@I want to go to there I think they have a copy and I have a copy of one of the letters but right now one of them just is not responding to me and the other one told me they already uploaded it last year so they are not going to do it again for me. I emailed them and then called them and the receptionist keeps saying "oh, I will have them call you back" and then a week goes by and they never call. Yes, Lanzo thank you, I mean all I am asking them to do is to upload a freaking letter they already wrote. It takes like 10-15 minutes out of their day.

Even if I have a copy, how would that change anything? I am not allowed to upload the letters to inter folio and I am told that the way people upload letters to interfolio is the letter writers have to print out the email and then sign it in handwriting with a date and on letterhead and then scan it to upload their signature. So I really don't see how me having a copy of the letter helps me at all because I still need them to upload it.

these dentists probably threw away the letters they wrote one year ago. I think if you have a copy, you can forward it to them or just print a copy and tell them to sign it then scan it then give them the pdf file to upload

those dentists are some mean people

Both of my dentists wrote their own letters and asked me to upload to interfolio myself. When I put in my reference's information at interfolio, I just put in the email addressed that I created new email addresses for each of them. So when interfolio sent the notification with a link, I uploaded the letters myself. No any special requests from interfolio during the uploading process.

I did the same thing as @bc1002 . My dentist sent me the letter and asked me to upload it. The copy that you have, is not signed already? If you have the copy with the letterhead and all, then you can upload it.

I wouldn't be uploading anything without permission from the dentist. That could potentially end badly!

I understand your point but I don't think the dentist is denying the letter of reccomendation. He/She is just lazy to upload another one -_- But of course, contact the dentist before uploading it.
