Depression! Please help!
Started by Shadowwalker
B is an acceptable grade. I got a C in Bio I. I screwed up. But I definitely redeemed myself by getting A's in other upper level bio courses.
Definitely try harder next time and kill the DAT!

I got 4 C's and 8 B's in science classes if it makes you feel better lol. 3 C's and 3 B's were from freshman year though.

You will be ok. Try to get as many As as you can and you should be set.
i feel that since ur sketching hard because you think a B is bad that you have a great determination to do well, dont be depressed just learn from it and study smart rather than studying hard! plan everything out, make sense of it and you will set yourself up nicely for you dental school application! best of luck to you!
ps - i had a D in my last yr and the interviewer was like wtf why so late in your degree, and i had such a terrible response haha

Had a C- in my last gen chem class (series of 3). Had to retake it but most schools didn't even mention it since my last 3 years were pretty much 4.0s. Just do well for the rest of your undergrad years and it won't even make a difference
I am not feeling better because of your grades. Are you a Dental Student now? How would those grades affect you?I got 4 C's and 8 B's in science classes if it makes you feel better lol. 3 C's and 3 B's were from freshman year though.
Thank you! Did you get accepted in Dental School yet?i feel that since ur sketching hard because you think a B is bad that you have a great determination to do well, dont be depressed just learn from it and study smart rather than studying hard! plan everything out, make sense of it and you will set yourself up nicely for you dental school application! best of luck to you!

I could have populated an entire hive with the string of B's on my transcripts and I'll be matriculating to dental school this summer. What matters more, from my experience, is that you finish strong and create an application that proves you're committed to dentistry. Just don't make a habit of those grades and you'll be all good. A B, especially in a lab, is not a problem.

Average students can also go to Dental school, you know? lol
Getting a B is nothing , just make sure you do better next semester!!

How did you score on your DAT test? May I ask? and did you take DAT once? Thanks... You made my feel betterI had C- in my Orgo II lab, C+ in my Orgo I lecture, C in my Orgo II lecture
I had F in one of my physics courses (I am physics major)
But still got in!
calm down, i had a C in orgo, withdrew from biochem, and had tons of Bs, still got into 6 schools. just take some time off to study for the DAT, do a ton of practice tests and use coursesaver(saves lives). I've always been horrible at standardized tests too( took the sat 5 times and never scored that high), and i got a 21.
I had C+ in my ochem. You know what, in my first semester of second last year I had 3 Cs, 1 A and 1B. What did I do after? I got my act straight, got straight As except for a single B+ (due to 1% difference) since then. Gpa for my last year was 4.15 with 5A+ and 5As. B won't ruin your chance and neither will C. Important thing is to learn from the mistake. I needed a string of Cs to get my shi* together. Maybe its that B that will wake you up.
Does anyone accepted to Dental School make any B letter grades on science courses?
Nope, nobody in dental school ever got B's in their undergrad science courses. That's why the average science GPA of accepted dental students is 4.0. You can pretty much kiss your chances of admission goodbye, sorry.

So... By saying this, you mean that everyone must get straight As on science courses so that they can get accepted to dental school?Nope, nobody in dental school ever got B's in their undergrad science courses. He was being sarcastic. The average accepted is around 3.5 so people definitely get Bs and some get Cs. I got a C+ in physics II and got accepted my first try.
Could someone give me a heads up on this?
are dental school really for extremely perfect student? or for average student with diligence still get in?

Did you not just read what jmh018 wrote?
-_-..... is 3.5 average or perfect.....?
And they are looking for students who are mature who can become health professionals and not get "depressed" over a B.
