I am looking for a research fellowship with an aim to subsequently switch to a derm residency from another highly competitive residency specialty.

What are the research opportunities for an student between year 3 and 4 (i.e. I would take a year off)?

Most of the ones above look like they are fellowships (i.e. after obtaining a degree). Am I wrong?

Is it better to take a year off to do research or just go ahead and graduate and do the research after an internship year?
