I recently heard that there are 9 dermatology jobs out there for each graduating dermatology resident/fellow. Have the graduates been finding that to be the case?
What is the typical expectation for starting salaries? I imagine they are going up, which I think is great. I have found that supply and demand is the only thing that changes physician reimbursement. The big anesthesia shortage in 1996/1997 which continues today significantly increased my income.
I think the AAD and AANS have done the best job of maintaining their numbers. My hat goes off to them.
