The Dermatology Department in UC Davis, and Dermatology Service at the VA Medical Center are seeking highly motivated candidates to work as a Telederm Fellow.


Important prerequisites:

1. Available to begin now

2. Completed internship a must

3. Valid Medical license (at any state) required.

4. Documentable experience/ training performing punch and shave biopsies and liquid nitrogen destruction of premalignant lesions.

5. Valid driver's license required


This (non-ACGME accredited fellowship) is to carry out the VA Tele-Dermatologist MD's biopsy recommendation. The incumbent will perform punch and shave biopsies, use liquid nitrogen to destroy premalignant lesions, as directed by the Tele-Dermatologist overseeing MD at different VA clinic locations. This position requires travel to different VA clinic locations, some a few hours away (VA provides car). The position can provide valuable dermatology experience for a dermatology resident hopeful. There is ample opportunity to participate in other ongoing clinical research projects and publish, and join in department teaching activities. The incumbent joins and active academic clinical research group with opportunities for learning and growth, and enhancing potential for matching into dermatology. This is a paid position with generous salary (~ $90,000) and benefits.
