Interesting case about a dermatologist getting sued for causing scarring around a patient's mouth.

Used IPL and caused burns. Allegedly made too many passes over the skin and didn't let the skin cool.

Curious what the dermatologists here think of this case and the expert witness opinion.

MedMalReviewer bulletpoint 4 sums it up nicely: "The settlement is confidential, but I suspect it was relatively small. The patient was not permanently disabled nor did she die. The fact that it resolved so quickly also suggests that the settlement was small enough that the defendants felt it was easier and cheaper to quickly put it behind them."
