Hey guys!
Not too long ago I decided on Med school (for sure). I am a sophomore in a major state university and I have a GPA of 3.0. Mostly because Freshman year was a disaster but Now I am doing really good in my classes. So if I keep it up till senior year will I be okay for MD schools? I have not taken MCAT yet.
My EC involves

Lots of volunteering, working almost 25 hours/week ,shadowing.
Please do give me advice on how and what I can do to improve my chances:

I do understand I haven given you much to judge on but please just give me some reassurance that there is still time to recover..please
thanks!

You have plenty of time to recover. You will be fine, especially if you keep rocking your classes like you are doing now. I think that your ECs are completely appropriate at this time. You may want to consider doing some research, but only if you have some interest. Good luck!

You can do it if you get straight As. If your GPA is 3.0 after three semesters, then in three more semesters, you'll get up to a 3.5. With an additional year of great grades before application, it would be even closer to being competitive. With a good MCAT score, you could get an acceptance to an allopathic med school.
