When looking at the MSAR how do you determine which med schools are OOS friendly? Do you look at the percentage of non-residents who matriculate or get interviewed?

Not sure what facts and figures the MSAR give you...but..
You want the # of apps, # of interviews, then # of acceptances for in-state AND out-of state. See if they interview and accept the same % of students for in-state and out-of-state, and also make sure the numbers are significant: Only looking at %'s can be misleading for schools where out-of-staters don't generally apply and they accept like 3 of the 7 out-of-state applicants that year (who had ties to that state or school or something).
Look for schools where more than half of the enrolled students were out-of-state.
I used USNews's online site to generate stats for all the schools...you have to subscribe but in terms of the cost savings, it's totally insignificant.
