Hello all,

I applied to Detroit Mercy in late July and still have not received a letter of acknowledgment from them.

It says on their website that we have to mail them official transcripts and letters of recommendation ... after sending out our AADSAS app.

Is the website outdated or something. I can't imagine why we'd have to snail mail all of those materials.

Anyone hear from them? Know anything? Thanks.

They'll start sending monthly updates soon. By the way: make sure you give them ALL of the requested information on the update. I never gave them my home number (I only have a cell number) and they interpreted that to mean I wasn't interested in their program. Even if some of the requested info doesn't apply to you, you have to write in that it's not applicable.

i dont know about the LOEs but i know for sure that you need to go to your school and have a hard copy of your transcript sent to u of d specifically

so no ones heard anything at all from udm? kinda weird as theyre usually the ones that send too much stuff. I dont even have an update from them on aadsas (not even the school name on the school decisions), anyone elses like this too? or do i need to call them up?

I spoke with the admissions director and she said they will start sending out interview invites at the end of this month.

you HAVE to send in your college transcripts to the school directly or they'll never review your file.

They do this because they want to see how heavy your course load was during undergrad, this is one of their major determining steps (according to what they told me). They like to see students take 15-18 credit hours in thier junior and senior years with 3 science courses per semester

I actually had my transcripts sent to them before my AADSAS application was mailed out....Mercy will open a folder for each student and put all thier LORs, transcripts and everything else all together even before the AADSAS application is received

That's interesting...I thought AADSAS mails the copies of transcripts to each school as part of the packet.

I got a phone call from UDM about my missing documents.
I asked when they are going to send out invitations. she told me that they are sending out from next month. patient guys~

I don't believe AADSAS sends out your exact transcripts, they just send out all the courses you took and what mark you earned...... I think
