Developmental Math

So I've started my first semester of college and I'm in a developmental math course called fundamentals of college algebra, and I was wondering if being in remedial math would hurt my chances when I apply for medical school. I'm pretty sure I can drop this course and move up to regular college algebra, but I'm pretty worried about not being prepared for it.

No, it will not hurt you to take this preparatory class. It will hurt you if you don't take it, go directly to Algebra, and get a poor grade because the pace was too fast for you. Take it slowly and do it right.
