Before you guys read any further, NO, this is not a post where I teach you the secretes of achieving a 45 on the MCAT. This post will mainly be a daily entry for my personal use.
This was inspired by onedirection (never thought I would say this in my lifetime haha) so props to him for this idea.
I just finished my third year in a public university in california. I have taken all of the med school pre-reqs, however, I never really grasped the concepts (I knew this would haunt me...). I have yet to take any practice exams because I am afraid I might get like a 10... lol. So i will quickly run through the content first and then take it.
Day 0 (6/24/13)
Just got back from vacation and I feel more tired than relaxed. Need to recollect myself and really focus on overcoming this challenge. Maybe a prayer and a good nights sleep may help.
I looked through the 3months plan posted by SDN and i will try to pack that into a 10week window. So I will have to skip the weekly breaks and pray that I dont burn out. I am excited to take up this challenge and I am eager to see how much progress I will make.
So far I have 2010 TBR, EK books, EK 101 verbal, 2010 TPRH Science workbook.
Following the SDN schedule, I will supplement TBR with EK for content and rely on the TPRH for science exercises and EK Verbal for verbal passages. Lets see if these problems are sufficient, if not I may need to pick up the EK 1001s.
Its been a year since I took physics and two years since I took chemistry. I never understood physics and I didnt do so hot in chemistry so PS is definitely my weakest point. It will be interesting to see how much I remember. So I will start with chemistry tomorrow.
Goals for tomorrow:
- Wake up before 7:30! Starting the day off early and need to carry that momentum throughout the day.
- 2 verbal passages after breakfast.
- Complete Section I of TBR and supplementary material from EK.
- Do 1/3 of the passages and corresponding problems in EK.
- If time allows, read a chapter from EK Bio.
