I know Diasteromers have different PHYSICAL properties (e.g., MP, BP). But do they have the same CHEMICAL properties?

Mcat-review site says "Stereoisomers have the same chemical properties."

That's wrong. Some reactions require a specific diastereomer. I guess for most reactions, this is the case.

No they don't. Heck, stereoisomers may even differ in their resonance contributors. This explains why cis-HONO has a bigger bond angle than trans-HONO (which is a rather unexpected result). If you can't transform something into something else with a symmetry operation, then you can safely assume that they are different. And most likely in more ways than one.
