I took COMLEX III 3 wks ago and it was horrible! I didn't get my scores yet but am trying to prepare for the worst and it's starting to really get to me. Apparently, as an osteopathic resident, we have to have passed to enter our 3rd year of residency. According to my program, I may have to take an unpaid leave if I fail. Has anyone been in this situation and if so, do you have any advise? If I took the exam in the beginning of the year, I don't think I'd be freaking out as much. With only a couple more test dates that are available before I start my 3rd year, I fear that I won't be able to even take it in time and will be forced to take a leave, which I really can't afford to do since I have no other source of income (not to mention the embarrassment when my co-residents find out). Do you usually get your results before the next set of exams (the following month)? I don't even know how I would study if failed...I just would probably stick to my original answers! (I changed half of them)... If anyone could help or offer words of wisdom, I would really appreciate 🙂

Start (or rather continue) studying so that if you do fail you can sign up for the first available one & still have a little study time under your belt

I agree you should keep studying. How were you studying before you took step III? If you weren't using a question bank you need to (assuming you failed, of course).
