i got a call from Upenn this morning asking me if i'm still interested (i was on the waitlist). now i'm not sure what to do cause i'm already set on going to nyu...

was it an offer? if not, then don't worry about anything yet b/c you're not in YET....

have you already signed housing papers in NYC? if not, then i would wait penn out a couple weeks.

both are good schools with expensive COA, but i believe penn's is about $10k/year cheaper.

decisions, decisions.. (maybe)

You have got to be kidding me. Take Penn up. Cheaper and about 1000 times better. You will be kicking yourself in the future if you dont jump on this.

there are many factors to consider (in no particular order):
Location: Philly vs. NYC
Class size
opportunties
cost
etc...

perhaps visit both schools again to see which is a better fit. both are great schools.

i visited penn dental last month and was disappointed by their facilities. their preclinic is pretty crappy and their two lecture halls are straight out of the 70's. im not sure about their curriculum. good luck on your decision.
