Did anyone get admission with VR 6 ?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I applied late to medical school twice. Once in October 2005 and again in October 2011. I was successful in the admissions process both times, although applying late is not something I will recommend. I think you are good to go. Congrats on the improved score.

This is not really an outlier in the general sense. I know a girl who scored a 24 on the MCAT but scored 238 on Step I. I'm not at all convinced a high MCAT automatically means you'll be one of the best students in your class or score high on Steps (I know there are moderate correlations.).

I see the MCAT more as a weed-out test. I scored a 34 and a good friend in my class who scored a 26 (6 VR) is doing almost just as well as I am, and I am doing very well so far.

My wife took MCAT 2x. 27 and 29. VR of 7 both times. Got one interview and one allopathic acceptance.

She honored every class the first two years, junior AOA, 260/266 USMLE scores. This is true. I saw them.

Outlier? Absolutely. Possible? Yes. MCAT is only moderately correlated with pre-clinical grades and step 1 scores. It's probably a better indicator of socioeconomic background than anything else. Stay the course, dear friend...

I know a friend who made a 3 VR. He goes to Feinberg.

33P (3 VR) and a 15 in both sections. AA. 2.1 oGPA.

Sigh...
