I took the mcat and didn't do so hot ( 21....6 verbal 8 physical 7 bio)....I am interested in taking the DAT& OATS....I am bad at "appication" questions which is what the mcats is all about....what's the difference between the oats and Dats? which one do you think is easier?

This is just my opinion, take it how you will.

It doesn't make sense to me to base the rest of your life on which profession has an easier standardized test. Pick something you're actually interested in and the motivation to study will follow.

You got a 21, nothing is going to be "easier" for you...

That's kind of harsh. OP, just know your intelligence is not based on a standardized test. Even the MCAT doesn't test your "smarts", just your ability to take the MCAT. I agree with the first poster, do what profession you want to do. Figure out what your problems on the MCAT are...was it your method of studying, not enough practice tests, a better review of concepts?

What makes you think the DAT is easier, because pre-meds said so? I know a couple of people who have taken both, they told me that the tests are similar in difficulty but the material is slightly different.

You're only 3-4 pts away from meeting DO standards.

Study harder and smarter (think about relationships and work on your timing). Only retake the MCAT when you start scoring 30s on practice exams, and if you still get a 20-something, apply to DO.

Were you prepared for the MCAT?

I actually heard that the DAT will show you an unfolded box, and you have to select the correct box when folded. It's like an imaging section because often your are looking through mirrors at various orientations.

I doubt anyone will really be able to answer your question, as most take 1 standardized exam, and I doubt anyone had taken the MACT, DAT, and OAT.

Whatever lead you to have difficulties on the MCAT will most likely lead to the same difficulties on other exams.

I think me see it, but me english so good not. Why I got a writing score of I. Is it .....
