I met her at ASCP in California. I thought her story seemed familiar from reading SDN. She's a very nice person and pleasant to talk to. I wish her the best.

Aw, not yet. 11 more months. Very happily ensconced in pedi path fellowship with all of my spare energies devoted to cardiac pathology (morphology, histology) which my current institution has in abundance. Believe it or not there are currently four places which I know of who are actively searching for a pediatric cardiac pathologist, and others who are passively searching. So, the "gamble" (for which IIRC this board heartily derided me) paid off.

Huh, did we "deride" you for going into pathology in general or narrowing your practice focus down that laser tight? I cant remember.
