Did everyone who interviewed at cspm get accepted same day?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Or did anyone get accepted a week or two later? Just wondering how it works with them?

No. As far as I know (and it would make sense), they will accept same-day if they will be accepting everyone (which they pretty much do). If not, they will individually mail acceptances.

I could be wrong, though.

No, I was accepted about 3 days after the interview back in November.

It may be different now that it's April. There's also a waitlist being generated for the first time for CSPM.

Does that suggest that application numbers are increasing? I thought Western may hurt their numbers if anything.

I hear that western doesn't have too many applicants this year due to it being so new and people are skeptical about it. But in fact its a very established school and the podiatrists will have a very good education and get into good residencies. Actually the first two years your in the same class as the DO students. during Dfcon western had a seminar and Dr. Harkless said theirs a possibility or option to sit for the DO boards because your basically learning the same thing except of course the last two years.

Yeah i got interviewed last Friday and they said the class is almost full. So im crossing my fingers this is my top choice.

It probably means both the number of applications as well as qualified applicants are increasing. Honestly the thought of another school opening in California should not have too huge of an impact on CSPM until 3-4 years from now once students in that program have vetted it. I'm not saying it isn't a good program, rather it's an unknown, somewhat like AZPOD 5 or 6 years ago. Even then, how hard is it to tick an extra box and pony up an additional $50?

You cannot do that yet. Western has a separate application since this is their first year. The class of 2014 will have this option though.
