I am a Texas resident who submitted TMDSAS around July 29-30th so as I understand thats not favorable...is this the "kiss of death"? All of my supporting documents have been received but processing is taking a while and I imagine it will take another week or two for it to process. I plan to submit the secondaries within the next few days as well.

You are not too late for Texas but you definitely won't be in the first round of interviews, which have already been happening.

https://www.tmdsas.com/Forms/EY2017 Application Submission Data.pdf

If you look at the graphs in that document, people who submit around the time you did received around 20-25% of all interviews. So, provided that your stats are in order and you have the right boxes checked, it won't be the kiss of death.

However, for Texans reading this thread who have yet to apply, it would do you well to submit no later than the end of June.
