Did they already send the first batch of applications?

I am getting confusing info, I was told that the applications were sent on thursday but today I got an email saying that they will send them within the next 5 days.

Anybody got any confirmation from a program saying that they have received complete application?

I had my application to SF Match in like the 2nd week of August, and I, too, just received that same e-mail today.

Guess the first batch isn't going out quite as early as in past years.

i, too, was originally told that my app was being distributed last thursday. nevertheless, i did get the email today stating that the apps were going to be distributed in the next 5 days.
they definitely are not getting the apps out as early as they have in previous years.

How soon after you sent out your application to sfmatch did they contact you saying they received it? Or did you have to contact them to find out? Granted, I only sent mine a few days ago, but I haven't heard anything from them.

I sent it 3+ weeks ago. They sent me an email today saying that the application is complete and that it will be sent to the programs within the next 5 days. GL.

Just call the SF Match help line and they will tell you what they have so far. This is too important to be standing by for info...be proactive and call them. What if one of your LOR's did not make it? How will you know if you don't' call? Now is the time to be beyond anal. FYI, they have not yet submitted the second batch. Apparently it will be submitted at the end of this week or early next week per SF MATCH. Good luck to you all!

Call them - depending on who answers, they might tell you. I submitted mine via overnight mail on Sept 1, and I'm definitely not in the first batch - so if you sent yours after I did, neither are you. The SFMatch is experiencing a delay in distributing apps, which is frustrating if you want to meet an early program deadline - if you're concerned, you should also call a program directly, and let them know that there might be delays in SF's distribution of your app. Most programs will probably be ok with it

How can we chill out and be beyond anal at the same time? Just kidding - I know what you mean. My app has been in since Sept. 1, and I'm a little concerned, as I got an email that said my app will be distributed "no later than next week." Hmmm - I hope programs indeed are flexible on some of those 9/15 deadlines.

Be anal for things you can control (sending the application materials and making sure they get there) but chill for things that are out of your control (SF Match submitting your application).

Who cares if you're in the first batch or not?

I reviewed the first 50 applics to my program this week and will be reviewing the next 50 sometime next week when they come. I plan on treating the applics exactly the same regardless of which batch they're in. A crappy applicant in the first batch will get a low score, a stellar applicant in the last batch (that meets the deadline) will get a great score.

Chill out, don't worry about things you can't control. And don't forget to use priceline for your hotels for interviews!

Hey all,

So I had my application in by August 25. When I called to confirm if its receipt, SF said they would distribute by Sept 4. I called after that and someone told me it actually went out the day I called, August 31. However, I called my home school, and they said they received the application on September 12th!!!! I did not intend for my application to be received later than the target date. I think SF match is struggling. I don't know what's going on, but it seems like they are certainly slacking!
