i submitted to aacomas like 2 weeks ago and have not heard anything...is this normal?

Yes. Aacomas says it takes 6-8 weeks to verify ur application before releasing it to the schools you chose. Around this time it will probably be longer than 8 weeks with all the applications that need verification.

After ur app is released to the school, it does not mean that the school actually got it. It just means that they have the option of looking at it, which they will get to when they can and depending on how many apps were released before yours. When they finally get to it they will decide if your stats are above the minimum they accept in order to offer you a secondary.

haha ok thanks. this is my first time applying and i feel like i have no clue whats going on. i was just worried bc i got an immediate confirmation from amcas when i applied. good luck to you guys too!

Yes because ur will be released by maybe august if you submit now. They would probably get to ur app in september and send u a secondary. By the time u send it back and they look at it it would be October and you may get an interview invite for November.

But ppl who submit in august may have to wait till October or sometimes even November before the school is able down look at ur file. And probably December by the time they look at all the files before yours and actually decide to send u a secondary. By the time you send the secondary back and they get to lookl at it it would be January...if you get offered an interview for early February your already getting late since most classes are full by march.

So yes, ur still early. It's just hard to expect ur files to be looked at once they're received cus these schools are getting thousands of apps
