I am going to take the exam in 2 weeks. Does anyone who has taken the exam and used this think that it will help? Thanks for your help.

absolutely helped for me! The microbiology section was very helpful. I got at least 5 - 10 questions right on the NBDE Part 1 because of the useful mnemonics illustrated in the USMLE First Aid for Step 1.

Use it and read it if you have time. Do the decks and the old exams and use First Aid for further enforcement of memorization. Good luck, fellow OMFS hopeful.

Agreed. I would consider it high yield since it did not take very long to read the relevant sections.

USMLE helped a lot with path and micro and a little bit on bch if you don't feel like looking up all the pathways.

Good luck!!

I agree with all of the previous posters.

I would real all the sections of First Aid that are relevant to NBDE I.

As I recall, there was also a pretty good review of the vitamins & their functions in there. I know I got a few micro/path questions out of First Aid that I definitely did not see covered on the cards.

I used it for Micro, physiology, and some path. The anatomy didn't seem very relevant.

Very helpful for Micro/Path, little bit for Biochem, not adequate for Anatomy.

I appreciate the help. God knows I'm going to need it.
