Did you completely guess on 2 Verbal Passages and still end up with a 10?!

if you were extremely lucky, its possible to still get a 15 if u did that.

The odds of getting a 15 by guessing 2 passages are probably worse than winning the lottery.

If you are accurate, it IS possible to get a 10 while still guessing on 2 passages. However, you need to be extremely accurate. Some people using this strategy have been able to consistently score 10's, others cant get past an 8.

If this was the strategy you used on practice MCATs and it worked for you,, then i wouldnt worry about it.

Depends on the curve, depends on the number of questions for the 2 passages you guessed, and depends on how lucky you get with the guesses. I had a practice test where I ended up guessing 2 passages each with 10 questions where I only missed one question from the other passages and still got an 8. But it's definitely possible to still get a 10 if you get lucky.

On a science section, maybe, but on Verbal- don't get your hopes up.

I completely guessed on one passage (10 question one) on verbal and ended up with 10. You would have to be extremely lucky to guess on nearly 1/4 of the section and still get a score that's 1std. dev above the mean.

More likely that was the experimental passage.

Yup I'll be really screwed over if that m*nk passage was the exp. rather than the A*S!! B/c I know I got the monk one 100% correct, but the A*S one, well, I know I got it 100% wrong. I can't even remember what I guessed, but I didn't finish the passage and just answered the questions based on what I know from studying the subject freshman year of college...meek!!!
There should be a thread for "STUPID QUESTIONS I DIDN'T ANSWER," well for me that was 1 of the discretes on the BS section...but we're not allowed to post actual questions so maybe then it's not a good idea...

I rushed through the second to last passage and bubbled in 'B' for the last passage on the august 05 test. i ended up with a 9.

I did almost the same on the aug 06 test so im thinking hopefully a 9 or a 10
