Curious what your school did. Penn kept grades. Feel free to comment your school below if you'd like.

Louisville giving us the option and we can pick and choose which classes we want as P/F and which we want to remain as ABC...

For those of us who are starting dental school this summer, it would really help if people would identify their schools in the text box.

Pretty sure we've all done that...

I haven't voted cause I'm not a student yet, but when I go to view results, I see a lot more votes than comments.. not sure if the other voters are from the schools mentioned above, but if not, would be good to know what schools they're attending.

P/F isn’t intended to last beyond the semester, it is only useful for current students to use to compare to what is going on at their own school

Still says something about a school's administration in my opinion.

That's a good point. I was going to agree with the comment above that this is only temporary, but you're right, it does say something about whether a school's administration cares about their students/is somewhat compassionate.

Michigan is P/F with the option to review grades afterwards and change to graded if you would like to.

Wow are they giving you guys the answers to the exams beforehand as well? Jk haha you guys are lucky. I'm jealous :( This is what it must feel like to be a medical student.

Is anyone concerned about cheating? Graded school here, we've had a handful of online exams and our averages are all of a sudden 5-10%+ higher than previous classes...

The same exact thing happened at our school, after 2 exams with abnormally high averages they made us begin using a webcam exam proctoring service and now the exam we took had a pretty average average lol

Our school just changed it to P/F with no option to change it to a letter grade. Kinda sucks because I've been killing it in our high credit courses. Makes all the work I put into studying for tests and quizzes null

No that isn't what it feels like to be a medical student. I have been taking all of my exams in my room wearing the most ridiculous t-shirts that I can find and boxers only. That is what it is like to be a medical student.

Also at UNLV it's graded for DS1-2's. Clinic is P/F currently for 3's and 4's until further notice.

Cheer up, you are the most prepared for the boards!

For those who have switched to P/F, are you still ranked amongst your classmates?

We are still graded. We have been using Honorlock for exams and quizzes. Averages are higher, however, making me suspect some people are sharing questions with others.

same, administration told our student gov that there were cheating concerns, not sure what they have done/ are going to do about it

someone got 100% on a really hard cumulative exam that was the highest grade that our professor has seen in 40 years...

My school is planning on having D2s back in early July to start clinic and finish preclinic simultaneously. They're hoping to get D3s to start in June.

Do you think there's any disadvantage to switching a course to pass/fail (our school gives us the option too) regarding how a postgraduate adcom (specifically omfs) might view your transcript? Would they think we were trying to cover a C vs what I would really be using it for are any Bs. Or would the safer bet be just to show all grades like normal

If youve never gotten any Cs before, I doubt they would think you were covering up Cs-they would basically know youre covering up Bs. I would say it makes little difference-OMFS cares more about CBSE than rank these days. Just get an 80-85+, and nothing else really matters then.

I think if you pick and choose classes to go P/F vs graded, then they might question it. If you go all P/F or all graded then you'd probably be fine.

"The statement also said that absent attendance at clinicals and simulated laboratories have given students extra time to study and as a result, student performance on exams has increased. "
