That is part of GME to have some degree of didactics. Whether they have new conferences, morning report/morning conference, grand rounds, journal club...etc. Each program will have this. Not sure what you consider "didactics heavy"? You might have to look at each individual programs website to determine this or wait until you are on an interview with the program for them to go over this in detail.
I have never heard of a program with zero structured didactics. Independent learning will have to take place at home/when not on a service month. So not really sure what you mean by more "independent learning" as you aren't going to have that during the day when you are busy taking care of patients. You don't get a 60 min time out to go and do independent studying. That is for your free time at home.
