Hi everyone,

So I'm looking at my ochem book and it does have an explannation of what a geometric isomer is, but it has other isomer classifications.

constitutional=diff. order of attachment
stereoisomer=atoms connect the same... and then it's broken down to enatiomers and diastereomers

I was wondering where geometric fits in because I've seen it elsewhere. And what exactly is the definiton?

Thanks.

They are cis-trans isomers. configurational isomers.
