Is there a difference between the AAMC # tests, and the AAMC #R tests...are the questions/answer keys different?

They PS is exactly the same as is true for tests 3, 5, and 6. There are 5 fewer questions in 4R and they took out some orgo questions and replaced them with 3 genetics questions.
