My school (Michigan State University) offers 3 chemistry classes:

141: general chemestry for non-chemistry majors
151: general chemistry for chemistry majors
181H: honors chemistry

and additionally, 2 organic chemistry classes:
251: Organic chemistry, chem 141 is a prerequiste
351: Organic chemistry, chem 151/181H are prerequisites (not 141).

I don't like chemistry enough to make it my major, but when I apply to a school of dentistry, will it matter which of these classes I take? If I take 141 and 231, will my chances be lower than if i took 151 and 331?

Also, I got AP credit for physics in high school. Will the dentistry school count this for the physics requirement, or should I take additional physics classes?

Thanks in advance 🙂

I took Lyman Briggs Chemistry 1 and 2 and then now im going to take bio and orgo through the university (251/252). I do not think that it will matter if you do good in those classes you are going to take. THe higher classes might prepare you slightly better but I seriously do not think that it will be a impacting factor in the decision process. For physics, I think that although you got credit for physics, I think that you should take it through the university...I've been hearing that they like to see that you have taken university level classes as opposed to high school classes. are you an in coming freshman or soph?
