I'm a junior with a not so good BCMP gpa etc. And I have the chance to graduate at the end of this year - BUT if I end up applying for medical school at the end of this year I won't be able to graduate. I know for a fact if I apply to med school this year I"ll be rejected. So I was thinking I should just graduate (I won't have all my premed reqs done) and just go to a post bacc program? Any advice anyone? And when exactly are the deadlines for most post bacc programs?

I would say you have to graduate first because a bachelors is a pretty strict prerequiste for all us md and do schools--I've never heard of someone who got in to ms without a bachelors degree.

On a side note, how can you have the opportunity to graduate at the end of this year, but if you apply to med school you can't have the opportunity to graduate? This doesn't make sense to me.

Graduate. A diploma is one thing no one can ever take away from you.

Then go into a postbacc program of some kind.

hi - the reason why i wouldn't be able to graduate on time is because i'm a humanities major and because of the premed classes i'll be taking i would'nt have time to finish my major classes.

anyway thanks for the advice people.

Do what you can to improve your UNDERGRADUATE GPA if that's what's low.. if it's fine then do what you can to graduate.
