I hear there is a disadvantage of putting MD/PhD, because then I will be competing against the more competitive MD/PhD applicants, meaning harder to get in. My question is if I do not get an MD/PhD seat in a particular school, does that mean I don't get in there at all? or will they then consider me for an MD seat?

Curious Tom, I have read through a number of other threads concerning this issue, and it really seems that it is dependent upon the school. I am hoping that for the majority of schools I applied too it isnt true, but then again I really do not know. Look through some of the MD/PhD (MSTP) Forum threads...some possess a better answer.
