So I'm not sure if I should consider myself a disadvantaged applicant:
I'm Asian and immigrated to the States at 12 not knowing a word of English. I had free/reduced lunches in middle and high school. I started working at 15. My mom was on medicaid and some state assistance program after she gave birth to my brother and until he was 5.
But I went to pretty good public schools, graduated from a magnet program and am now in a top 10 university (with lots fin aid of course). Should I apply as disadvantaged? I know it's really my call but I just don't know if I should b/c my financial background didn't really affect my educational experiences.
