i just received a poor MCAT score of 24Q and due to a new job there is no way that i can retake the test this august. are there any disadvantages, other than cost, to applying to my in-state schools just to see if retaking the mcat can be avoided? i understand that it would be very unlikely to gain acceptance, but maybe one can hope ... ??

thanks in advance
for any advice,
