how strict are they on past disciplinary actions taken by your undergrad? I didn't cheat or anything. but i went to a private school that didn't allow drinking. my friend was caught at night in the dorm a little tipsy, so they went to my room, woke me up and breathalyzed me at 4:30 in the morning. it was a little crazy. i got suspended for 2 days and some other junk. do u think ucsf will be forgiving on that? or be mad that i didn't claim it on my aadsas app.?

Sounds pretty shady. It would depend if it went on your undergrad 'record', if it did and you did not report it, you might have some explaining to do.

Ask your institution if it's on your record, and if it is "an action." If it's not an action, then you are most likely fine(nothing to report); however, from what the details entailed, a "2 day suspension and some other junk" definitely sounds like a disciplinary action and would be on your record.

Personally, I would put hold on to your acceptances in multiple schools and ask them whether this action will effect your admission (over the phone). Therefore, if one school says "you didn't report therefore you are rejected", you still have some other schools to fall back on.

If you already deferred all your other acceptances/withdrawn from every other school, I would pray pray pray that this won't effect your admission status, but from the sounds of it, not reporting stuff results in a bad ending. Not reporting=shady and dishonest.

There's tons of other qualified honest applicants on the waiting list that are awaiting admission to UCSF. Who knows. Best thing you can do is call and speak to the Admissions Coordinator.

I asked them about the backround check and the administration office said it was manly for cheating and academic dishonesty. This seems like an interesting situation. I wouldn't think that it would be that bad. A suspension seems pretty extreme for drinking. But that's just my opinion. I would send out a quick email to the various school offices you have applied.

how do i add ucsf c/o 2015 at the bottom of all my posts?

wow i can't believe they actually went into your room, WOKE YOU UP, and breathalyzed you! that's insane... anyways, that is a tricky situation. seems like there could be potential for a problem when they realized that you didn't disclose it on your initial application. do all your schools require that disciplinary action form?

hindsight - refuse to take the breathalyzer.

you blatantly lied in response to a question on the application. i think it's pretty likely that if a school discovers it, they'll ask about it. If it was bad enough to not accept you over, it was bad enough to revoke your acceptance over, and i think covering up an offense is probably tolerated less than admitting to said offense.

that said, i really doubt anyone revokes your acceptance over it.
