So I am an asian male and I know that, statistically, being an asian male is very competitive and it is difficult to attain a position as a matriculant.

Is it best to not disclose my ethnicity? I know they will find out either way as they interview me, and my name alone is fairly hinting towards an asian background.

Do what you are comfortable with. Honestly, unless you are from a minority that is underrepresented in medicine, your race will neither hurt nor help you. If you don't wish to disclose, then don't. If you do, then do.

Haha yea as the above posters noted, if your name sounds Asian, then they will know regardless. In general, as long as you are the "best" among your race, you will do fine.
