I understand this is a pre-dental forum, but this is something everybody should take the time to learn. There are rumors that some incoming dental classes will no longer be taking Part I after their first or second year and take the INBDE instead after their fourth year. There may be confusion for a few years whether residency programs prefer the NBDE or the INBDE or what are the equivalent scores, but that can be a discussion at a later time. This would be a great question to ask during your interview.

NBDE Part I/II is currently pass/fail and the INBDE will be as well.

If you're interested in pursuing a residency then you should look into taking the ADAT.

If someone is pursuing a residency, would they be taking the INBDE and ADAT in the same year?

First I'm hearing of this- thank you for sharing, OP.

Interesting! Doesn't look like it would affect me but it's good to know about.

This is a great post! Thank you very much for the info.
