Discount/Coupon codes for Epocrates or Lexi?

Does anyone know any current discount or coupon codes for Lexi or Epocrates? I'm going to get one of these tools soon for my PDA. I've heard that drug reps and their pharm companies offer these kinds of incentives to students, but I'm not sure if I want to go down that path. And my school also has a thing about not accepting drug sponsorships. Anyway, do I need to join a student med organization or something. I know that's kindof iffy, but I'd really just like to get a coupon code. Ideas?

No one has a coupon code? What if I just emailed Epocrates or Lexi and told them I was an SDN member and could I please get a discount? You would think that one of these companies would want to advertise on this site with all the student traffic on here. Oh, that was a great idea! Hey SDN moderators, do you think you could work a discount deal with for us SDNers in exchange for some ads to sell to Lexi/Epoc? Maybe one of you guys that knows a Lexi or Epocrates rep can ask them about this? 😀

same for me -- could someone please send me the coupon code...also, for those who are doing/have already done clinical rotations in 3rd/4th year of med school, is the free Epocrates all we need, or is it better to have Epocrates essentials? The Essentials sounds cooler in terms of the features you get but are these useful for a 3rd/4th year med student?

To access the discount, click the link above. When there, scroll to "get your epocrates discout" where another window opens where you have to enter your AOA ID# and password (you should have received your AOA number (6-digit number) when you matriculated to your osteopathic school, I got mine via email few years ago - if you don't know it, your school should have it for you). If you haven't created an account, create one, its free. You need your email address, AOA ID#, then click to have them send you a registration key via email. Once the registered, sign-in (to DO-online.org) using your account info and go to member (or student) benefits, scroll down to "Get ePocrates discount" or whatever it says and follow the instructions. It gives you a URL you have to copy and paste, and it will bring you to epocrates' website automatically and put in the discount automatically.

Hope that helps. If you are at an MD institution, check out AMA's website and see if they provide any discounts.

I don't think Epocrates does the 50% off codes any more. The highest I've seen in a year is 30%. If you're a DO and member of the AOA just sign into your AOA account as mentioned above and they have a link you can use.
