I have my exam on Friday and i am nerve-wrecked. I can't use my limited energy to do another AAMC FL. But I want to review.... I have found that making up questions and answering other people's questions help me a lot.

Anything in Physical Sciences or Biological Sciences is fair game....

I will start it off....

  1. Easy... In fluorescence, high energy electromagnetic radiation is converted to visible light. What type of electromagnetic radiation is converted to visible light in fluorescence?
  2. Medium... Humans have surfactants in their lungs to reduce surface tension. Can surfactants be classified as emulsifiers?
  3. Hard... Ouabain is a poison that inhibits the Na+/K+ pump. Is ouabain a carbohydrate, protein, or lipid?

If anyone wants to make another question... number it #4 please.

1. Idk
2. Emulsifiers are actually a class of surfactants. So, no. You can't classify surfactants as emulsifiers just like you can't classify birds as pigeons.
3. None of the above. Based on the information you've given it is impossible to answer, but based on background knowledge, Ouabain is a glycoside, which is neither a carb, protein, or lipid.

1. UV to visible light
2. No, emulsifiers increase surface area
3. maybe a protein, since it needs to intact with the pump which is a protein also

discrete:
when firing a rocket in to space, in which direction is it most optimal to direct the rocket? ans choices: east, west, north(up) or does NOT matter

Optimal in terms of?

4. East? Because of the earth's rotation? But I don't think that reasoning is really MCAT test-worthy....
