Disfigured myself before interview.

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
No, it makes the striped tie guy look like the determined one.

Sure, but not in a good way. (Schools tend to frown on assault). And it shows he is ineffective -- he didn't actually accomplish what he attempts. You, on the other hand, didn't stray from your target, notwithstanding obstacles.

Personally, I plan on going to my interview with an abundance of fresh wounds on my face to symbolize my inner battle and determination to succeed in the face of daunting challenges.

Cut my face shaving last night. Ouch. I can't tell if my bad luck is sad or just funny, or both? Do you think I should just bring it up in the interview to avoid any questions and staring?

How would you handle this if you were NOT going to an interview? The way that you handle this going to an interview is the same way that you would handle this not going to an interview. If asked, explain what happened. If not, don't bring it up.

Please do not try to cover with "make-up" or "cosmetics" as you will end up like Richard Nixon and his debate with John Kennedy. People cut themselves shaving every day and as long as you didn't slice off one of your facial features, you are likely not "disfigured".

I appreciate all the responses. I first posted to start a thread that might get some fun comments and you guys obliged. The cut was real though. Luckily, once the scab fell off it wasn't all that bad.

I'll have to look into the Kiehl's. I think the price would be worth it if it's as good as you say because one can of shaving cream easily lasts more than a year.

Good luck to you all.

I dunno, you could pull something like that off if you do it in a semi-joking way. 😛

I read this after i read the word scab and had images of him pulling it off right in front of the interviewers. :barf:

Sorry, didn't mean to be too graphic. I figured premeds could handle scabs.

LOL, it wasn't the scab. It was the pulling it off part - like picking it off with your fingernail right there in the interview room to see if it was still bleeding underneath. Look Dr. interviewer, bloooooood.

Did you already have the interview? Did it come up or when is it? If a few days away, shaving cuts dont take much longer than that to mostly heal, unless particularly bad.
