Are we to be expecting the dislocation allowance when we make our first PCS move entering the Army?
You will get it, but not until after you get to your first duty station and in process with finance.I do have dependents and they are moving with me. That money would come in handy.

Yes, you can always get any pay retoractively if you were not paid. I had one friend that had snow-birded for a year waiting for OMFS to start. When he outprocessed a year later they were able to see that he was not paid all that he was owed when he inprocessed (not sure if it was DLA or some other DITY move pay) and he got it all back paid.I did not get it when I inprocessed at Ft Campbell. Is it possible to get it paid retroactively?

Here is the FAQ about DLA. The way I understand #5 is that if you are married you get it for your first move - if you are single you do not. Subsequent moves everyone gets it except for the final move getting out.
However the link is provided so you guys can check on your own.
