Dismissal

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Have any specifics on why you were dismissed? It might make a big difference, you might not need or even benefit from one.

We're not lawyers and no one without a legal degee is really qualified to say who would and wouldn't benfit from legal council. Heck, it varies from state to state. The one thing I do know is that it's always best to speak to a Lawyer BEFORE you say a bunch of things in front of witnesses so that you don't hurt your case. And internet forum counts as witnesses, BTW. It's discoverable.

OP, I have no idea where to start looking. I'd probably Google for lawyer with experience who had experience handling employee-employer disputes.

Contact your state bar association or Legal Aid for your city/town.

I'm currently working with a medical student who is appealing a dismissal.

I'd encourage you to contact your state's physician health program. You can find information about these programs by visiting the Federation of State Physician Health Programs website (http://www.fsphp.org)

Once you contact your state's physician health/assistance program, then you can often get information about attorneys who specialize in this type of work.
