I just got 211 on NBME 7, and I am at 59% in UWorld with 700 questions to go.I was planning on taking Step 1 in a month and a half. I've been through first aid probably 2 times, but I don't have everything memorized yet. do you think I should do DIT I already bought the program anyway. I was aiming for a 240 but that seems like a long shot now.

Im also a month out. My experience with DIT has been very good. Its a big time commitment and you are looking at 7-8 hours a day of videos and questions if you want to finish in 15 days. As painstaking as it's been I have to admit that you learn a ton. It forces you to spend time on topics and regurgitate the info back in question form. My bet would be that you could raise your score 15-30 points by doing it. The program is pretty much a walkthrough of first aid, but the way it's set up helps you connect the dots between topics and integrate info in an orderly way.

Short answer: Its a big time commitment and you will find yourself wanting to beat your head against the wall by the thirteenth video of the day. But it works.

Just my opinion. Good luck man

thanks, yeah ive heard they just read first aid, but seems like it'll be better than what i've been doing so far..the only problem is if I don't get much out of it then itll be a waste of 12 or 15 days

I mean if you already bought the overpriced dit, you should probably use it. I think DIT is good for adhd people who can't actively read. However, for everyone else, DIT is a waste of money and time. If you combine first aid with usmlerx, it is far better than the "active" learning you get with DIT.

I was thinking the exact same thing...we got a discount on Rx so I was planning on reading a section of first aid and then doing a bunch of Rx questions...but I couldn't decide between Rx+firstaid or DIT

I'm doing that right now, and I'm really liking it. After each question, they have a photo of the First aid 2013 excerpt, so it's really easy to review. I bet if I do finish Rx, I will have read First Aid a billion times.

I guess i'm just trying to balance whether I want to do DIT, get through Uworld 2 times, and usmle rx...i feel like i might try all 3 and see which one works best
